#19 Sat, Oct. 1, 2005 I got a good 20-25 minute session.  Then Marc and I were only planing 15% the rest of the time.  A few other guys rigged but never went out.  Looks like that's it for the year.
#18 Fri, Sept. 9, 2005 6.5's, I was powered up 75% of time, Marc was powered up about 50%, didn't have the right fin on his board.
#17 Thurs, Aug 25, 2005 Jim and Brad were the only windsurfers at Magic.  They were planing 75% on 6.5 and 6.7 sails.  Third day in a row! Video - 2:21 min
#16 Wed, Aug 24, 2005 John M, Marc D, Jim and Brad sliced and diced some algae on 6 meter + sails.  While many moves were attempted, uphauling was the most common.  Wind 12-20.
#15 Tues, Aug 23, 2005 Fun, sunny day at Magic.  17 mph gusting to 36.  We sailed on 5.5-6.0 sails.  The water is a little clearer.  I sailed from 3:00 until 7:30.  Brad, Marc D, John M, Wayne, BT and Mark W joined me on the West side.  Chris and Wade sailed of the East side. Video - 3:17 min.
#14 Thur, Aug 18, 2005 Mostly sunny day, 6.0 to 6.5 sails, planing 60% of the time.  Marc D., Mark W. and Jim had the whole lake to ourselves along with one fisherman.  The water is still clear up to the bottom of the narrows and there's still water around Biscuit Island.
#13 Fri, Aug 12, 2005 Marc, Mark, BT and April were sailing in real gusty conditions.  5.5-6.0 sails.  When Marc was leaving it was starting to blow consistently from the south.  No one there to enjoy it.
#12 Thurs, Aug 11, 2005 Real gusty at first, then around 5:00 it filled in good.  5.5 to 6.5 sails.  89o and sunny.  Lake is still clear up to the narrows.  BT, JW, John, Marc, Chris, Brad, and Ben (Ben stopped for a quick ride on his way to San Carlos)
#11 Wed, Aug 10, 2005 It blew late, 16 gusting to 26.  Did anyone sail?
July 24 thru July 30, 2005 SAN CARLOS:  We had a good swell for the first three days, then smaller swell next two days but higher winds.   The sails I used each day were: 5.7, 5.2, 5.4, 5.2, 4.0, and 5.2.  Brad sailed every day but Jim took one day off to recuperate.  It was fun to watch Graham Ezzy and learn about sails from David.

#10 Mon, July 25, 2005 report from Marc:

It blew strong and steady today (20 to 30 plus). None of those 10 to 40 mph micro bursts like the past few weekends. If you didn’t blow it (he, he) you could stay on a plane for 6-7 reaches.  BT, Ken, Wade, Chris and I plus a mystery girl from the East side sailed 5.0 to 5.7. Blue skies, 85 degrees and no mud. Big Fun. Marc

#9 Sat, July 16, 2005 Much better than expected.  A bunch of us had a fun time on 5.0 or smaller sails and small boards.  Sunny, 88, water warm but going down.  Good to see some new blood at Magic! streaming video
#8 Sat, July 9, 2005 Big sail day (6.0 to 7.0).  We got some unexpected wind right before the front hit and in the first part of the front. JW, Chris G, Marc, BT, John M, Ken, Shawn, Ben, Carl.  Shortie weather, warmer water.  Lake has only dropped about 1-1/2 ft, still pretty high. click to see video
  July 4, 2005 weekend
Report from John M:  Ripping good time in the gorge over the fourth. Wayne, Ray and I grunged it out in Rufus for two solid days of mostly 4.0 sailing. Strong but gusty on Friday with an epic big green swell day on Saturday with 4.0 sails. Awesome fun. Sunday turned lighter than expected. Ray and I headed for the hatch. I sailed on 5.8 in very crowded sailing conditions. Who says windsurfing is dead. Had a kiting incident at Rufus where a kiter launched in a bad spot hitting two gals sending both to the hospital. The kiter ended up hitting a tree but was allright because he hit the girls first who took the brunt of the impact. Ugly scene but I think the girls ended up okay without any broken bones.

"Just Another Lazy Day At The Gorge"

Tues, June 28, 2005 Boy, the wind sure sucks this year here at Magic!  Finally get some water in the lake and it's the worst year for wind.  The boys have been knockin' it dead in the Gorge, though.
Sun, June 19, 2005 Hi guys! BD reporting from SoCal. Sat. and Sun. winds sort of light for
Cabrillo but still fun. More and more sailors starting to show up these
days, probably 50 on Sat. and maybe 30 today. Everybody is pretty
friendly and there are a lot of sailors from other countries. We get
some big swells on the outside, even on a 6.2 day, but there aren't many
waves unless we're getting a good south swell. So far I haven't been
worked too bad, but sometimes I spaz in the shore break when I launch.
:) This Magic Windsurfers site really makes me think about all you guys
and my Idaho home. I definitely want to get up there and sail with
everyone this summer. We'll see how it goes. Everybody take care and
have a tall cold one for me! BD
#6 Sun, June 12, 2005 Big Sunday!  Sunny, wind was 25 gusting to 38, peak wind of 48 at 4:30.  Started out on 5.0m sails and ended up on 4.0m sails and still were overpowered.  Ken C. showed up in his shorty, to show us what wimps we all were. We had a little speed sailing going on but the Garmin went down, so we didn't get all of the speeds recorded.  Possible new record if we can recover data.  6 sailors got ripped up by Magic.

#5 Mon, June 6 - 2005 Report from Marc D: Lake level even higher. Temp 58 down to 54. Sailed fully powered 6.5 from 5:30 to 6:30 till clouds turned off the wind. Peak gust 30. Jay and Jeff (buggie-kiters) were ripping it up in the grass and wild flowers. Water temp OK, air temp feels like April.
#4 Wed, June 1, 2005 Chris solo sailed for a couple of hrs. on his 5.7. Later J.W., Marc D. & John showed up. Used 5.8 to 5.5 size. It was cold, low 60s chill factor low 50s.
#3 Sun, May 29, 2005 John M. sailed in unusual wind, from the northeast.  Planing 40-50% of the time.
#2 Tues, May 24, 2005 Lake is higher than it has been in several years.  Marc & I found an area approx. 75 yds. long that is waist deep.   Blew hard and warmed up.   Jim W., Marc, Chris and  John on West Side and Wade sailed off East Side again.  20 gusting to 30, peak of 35.  70o.  Sailed from 2:30 til 8:00.  Average sail size was 5.7 m.  Big congratulations to Marc for nailing two 360's back to back.
#1 Mon, May 16, 2004 Wade sailed off East Side.  59o, chill factor of 46, 18 gusting to 28,sunny.
